Introduction

The NAMIC Global Additive Manufacturing Summit returns with its second virtual edition on 25-26 November 2021. Held in conjunction with ITAP, Asia’s leading Industry 4.0 event, GAMS 2021 will connect with a global audience to explore the global impact and emerging applications of Additive Manufacturing (AM) with ‘Revolutionising the Future of Additive Manufacturing with Leaders in 3D Printing’ as its driving theme.

In 2020, NAMIC concluded the first virtual installment of the Global AM Summit with great success, with a turnout of more than 700 delegates from over 30 countries. This year, we envision to take GAMS 2021 to new heights by providing attendees with an all-encompassing experience by introducing fresh segments in our programme. With these new additions, attendees will be able to hear directly from companies in a sharing session, providing a means for business-making opportunities. On top of that, to support the growing industry’s employment needs, GAMS 2021 will be dedicating time for AM employers and current employees to share about their experiences on transitioning and working in the AM industry.

The yearly AM Summit is NAMIC’s flagship series where the global AM community and experts gather for the exchange of ideas. With the buzz surrounding AM and its capacity to disrupt and innovate across industries, many may wonder – is AM a hype or truly a game-changer? Leading thought leaders will deep dive into the implications of the Industry 4.0 wave with AM on startup investments and the global supply chain, as well as the emerging applications and positive social impact of the technology.
