    The NAMIC Global Additive Manufacturing Summit returns for its 13th edition this year! Held in conjuction with Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific – a Hannover Messe Event, NAMIC’s Global Additive Manufacturing Summit is Singapore’s flagship in-person AM business event, bringing together global thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and leading AM application experts.

    The Global Additive Manufacturing Summit will provide a one-stop learning and networking platform for students, academia, industry professionals, and innovators along the entire AM value chain, looking to adopt additive manufacturing.

    Arno Held started his career in the 1990’s as a trained field service engineer with TRUMPF laser technology. He co-founded AM Ventures in 2015. Arno has 25+ years experience in industrial laser and manufacturing technologies and spent over half of this time in the world of industrial Additive Manufacturing. Today, Arno is Managing Partner of AM Ventures, a EUR 100m VC fund. In the past 10 years, he and his team have scouted and analyzed more than 3000 industrial 3D Printing start-ups around the entire world and built a portfolio of 20 investments in 7 countries on 3 continents.

    Arno has lived and worked on 4 continents and holds a degree in industrial engineering and management from the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe (Germany), as well as an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland).

    He received his MSc in Materials Engineering from Loughborough University, U.K. after graduating from Singapore Polytechnics with an Advanced Diploma in Polymer Science.

    Mr Chee was the Executive Director of Unisteel Technology Ltd. (2006-2009) and the founder of Valen Technologies Pte Ltd (1999-2005). Prior to this, Mr. Chee was involved in a number of senior management and engineering positions, both in multi-national corporations and local SMEs. He has more than 35 years of experience related to precision manufacturing.

    Chris Leck is Group Chief Technology Officer at the Public Sector Science & Technology Policy & Plans Office, a department of the Prime Minister’s Office. He holds the concurrent appointment of Chief Partnerships Officer at the Agency for Science, Technology & Research.

    Chris joined the Singapore Public Service in 2001. Prior to his current roles, he was Deputy Executive Director of Singapore’s national space office, the Office for Space Technology & Industry. Other senior appointments in the past include Deputy Group Director, Technology & Industry Development Group, at the Land Transport Authority, Director, Futures & Transformation Division, at the Ministry of Transport, as well as Director for Strategic and Political-Military Planning at the Ministry of Defence.

One of his most notable achievements is the development of the world's first single-piece 3D-printed engine, a milestone that underscores his commitment to advancing aerospace technology.

    Dinesh also played a crucial role in the successful launch of India’s first semi-cryogenic sub-orbital launch vehicle, further demonstrating his technical expertise and leadership capabilities. His ability to solve complex problems and his strategic thinking have established him as a key figure in the industry.

    Dinesh holds an undergraduate degree in Automobile Engineering from Anna University, where he laid the foundation for his technical acumen. His career at Agnikul Cosmos is marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a passion for pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering.     Dr. Behrang Poorganji is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in advanced metallic materials processing and Metal Additive Manufacturing. He currently serves as a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Nikon AM Synergy, where he leads technological advancements in the metal additive manufacturing field. Dr. Poorganji's career trajectory includes diverse leadership and management roles across international borders, including Japan, Canada, and the USA. With a strong foundation in aerospace, power management, and automotive industries, he has demonstrated his adaptability and strategic acumen. Beyond his primary roles, Dr. Poorganji has served as an influential advisor and consultant, contributing to the broader adoption of additive manufacturing solutions across global industries. His efforts have been instrumental in fostering industrialization and effective technology integration. Notably, Behrang has held academic positions, including Professor and Director of Advanced Manufacturing at The University of Toledo, and leadership roles such as Director of materials technology organization at GE Additive, and VP of Advanced Technologies at Beehive Industries. Dr. Poorganji's expertise spans from theoretical research to hands-on leadership of research and engineering teams, focusing on critical aspects of AM including Ecosystem development, AM business case studies, design for AM, materials and process development, process qualification, modeling and simulation, and training and work force development.

    Dr George-Cristian Potrivitu

    Dr George-Cristian Potrivitu is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Aliena, a Singapore-based satellite propulsion company. He holds a BEng degree in aerospace engineering, two MSc in space technology, and a PhD in physics. His academic pursuits and and professional work in the fields of plasma physics and satellite propulsion brought him to Alta (now Sitael, Italy), JAXA – Japan, CNRS – France, and NTU - Singapore. Some of his work was recognized and awarded by the Electric Rocket Propulsion Society. In 2018, he co-founded Aliena while still in his first year of his PhD work. At the company, Dr Potrivitu is leading the technological development of the company's main product, MUSIC Hall effect thruster, is the inventor of the self-ignition concept for a very-lower powered Hall thruster that was launched in space (2022) and contributes to the business development of the company which closed its Series A of investment in early 2024. Dr Potrivitu has a passion for teaching, astronomy and philosophy of science. He loves cooking and painting.

    Dr. Heuser has been with Siemens for over 20 years in various management positions within Siemens businesses including Corporate Technology, OSRAM, Energy and now for over 6 years the VP of Additive Manufacturing at Siemens AG. In addition, he is a member of VDMA AG Additive Manufacturing Advisory Board, a member of the Formnext Advisory Board as well as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the IAPT institute in Hamburg. He is engaged as thought leader worldwide for the industrialization of Additive Manufacturing community. Dr. Heuser has a Ph.D. in solid state physics from the University Augsburg as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Management from ESMT.

    Dr Omar Fergani

    As the Founder and CEO of 1000 Kelvin, Omar leads the company with his extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering. Holding a Ph.D. from NTNU and Georgia Tech, his research focused on residual stresses in laser powder bed fusion. Omar’s expertise led him to leadership positions at Siemens and MKS Instruments, where he spearheaded advances in additive manufacturing and digital manufacturing.

    Recognized as an industry leader, Omar has received numerous accolades, including the SME 30 Under 30 Future Leaders of Manufacturing Award and the Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers Award. With a keen interest in harnessing artificial intelligence to tackle critical manufacturing challenges, Omar is dedicated to innovation and progress in the industry.

    As a prolific researcher and inventor, Omar boasts an impressive track record, having published over 30 journal articles and secured more than 10 patents in the realms of additive manufacturing and algorithmic development.

    Hardik Dobariya, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Factorem, has dedicated the past five years to closing the gap between demand and supply in the precision engineering and additive manufacturing industry. His extensive hands-on experience includes visiting over 500 factories, providing him with a deep understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities.

    Under Hardik’s leadership, Factorem has achieved unprecedented levels of automation in manufacturing transactions globally. During this period, the company has experienced significant organic growth in additive manufacturing requests, becoming the second largest revenue driver. Hardik and his team have leveraged the latest AI and machine learning technologies to adapt the platform to meet this increasing demand.

    Before founding Factorem, Hardik played pivotal roles in technology development, particularly in the field of quantum computing. His work includes developing software from the ground up and significantly contributing to product design and deployment across various sectors, including startups, government agencies, and major engineering corporations like Micron.

Karina has received industry recognition awards from the US EPA, England Environment Agency and South Africa Department of Environmental Affairs for leadership in environmental advocacy. She is currently an advisor to the APEC expert panel on the ISO Circular Economy Product Circularity data sheet methodology development.

Majored in Mathematics (bachelor degree) then corporate finance direction (MBA) and with years of industry experience including work experiences with Sandvik, Chevron, and DMGMORI. Kitty is the co-author of the book of <3D Printing and Automobile Industry Technology Development Report> in cooperation with the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineering, and also is co-author of the book of <3D Printing and Industrial Manufacturing> in cooperation with the Industrial Culture Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information.

He has a depth of knowledge in management, government processes and policies and design thinking skills.

    Olivier joined Spare Parts 3D after a 19-year journey in the energy industry occupying various positions from Quality manager to Export Sales to Strategy and being an intrapreneur for the past 15 years coming in Asia to set-up a Business Unit including starting green-field operation in Singapore. Finally, Olivier led the Digital and Service transformation in Asia before jumping from the intra- to entrepreneurship.

    Stefan has been passionate about AM applications for more than 17 years.

    As Managing Director of a high-end production facility in Singapore, he has already taken advantage of AM technology 17 years ago. He was here the leading edge of a highly certified German company for more than 10 years. During this time, he was interacting closely with all the well-known automotive manufacturers and many aerospace companies in APJ.

    His commitment with AM has then been intensified during the involvement at one of the leading Provider of 3D printing services in Belgium and Germany. His focus was there on printed parts for aerospace & automotive applications.

    Back in Singapore, he has been leading the execution of industrial AM applications as GM at Stratasys since 2019.

    He is also Managing Director to Additive Flight Solutions in Singapore. In Production and Engineering, his focus is on optimizing Aircraft Interior Parts in terms of execution, reliability and cost efficiency through AM production. He is the Accountable Manager for the EASA POA 21.G here in Singapore.

    An alumni of NTU Singapore, Sudharshan Raman spent 3.5 years in advanced metal manufacturing in SC3DP (Singapore), Hogskolan Vast (Sweden), and CSIRO (Australia) before launching Phasio in 2021. He has published 3 highly-cited papers on fundamental topics in metal 3D printing.

    Vincent Pilard

    Vincent got his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE-Centrale Lyon, France) in 2006 and started to work for aerospace and nuclear customers as a Design Engineer. In 2009 he joined the Heating Neutral Beam group on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER, France) – the world’s biggest fusion experiment, currently under construction. From that experience, in 2011, he moved as a Technical Officer to Fusion for Energy (F4E, Spain), a joint undertaking of the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), also referred as ITER’s EU Domestic Agency. After nine years of public service and contributions to projects across Europe, he returned to the private sector and joined TAE Technologies (California, USA) in 2020. Currently Project Engineer for TAE’s Neutral Beam Systems, he’s been also leading the Additive Manufacturing program for the past three years within the Engineering Team.
