    The NAMIC Global Additive Manufacturing Summit returns for its 13th edition this year! Held in conjuction with Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific – a Hannover Messe Event, NAMIC’s Global Additive Manufacturing Summit is Singapore’s flagship in-person AM business event, bringing together global thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and leading AM application experts.

    The Global Additive Manufacturing Summit will provide a one-stop learning and networking platform for students, academia, industry professionals, and innovators along the entire AM value chain, looking to adopt additive manufacturing.

With his advanced expertise in Design for AM, Raj has innovated design methods to tackle AM challenges across critical industries such as Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Marine, Medical and now Rail. He has extensive experience working on projects for both the public and private sector, with deep appreciation for the benefits and challenges of adopting & integrating AM technologies within traditional manufacturing processes.     Chris Leck is Group Chief Technology Officer at the Public Sector Science & Technology Policy & Plans Office, a department of the Prime Minister’s Office. He holds the concurrent appointment of Chief Partnerships Officer at the Agency for Science, Technology & Research.

    Chris joined the Singapore Public Service in 2001. Prior to his current roles, he was Deputy Executive Director of Singapore’s national space office, the Office for Space Technology & Industry. Other senior appointments in the past include Deputy Group Director, Technology & Industry Development Group, at the Land Transport Authority, Director, Futures & Transformation Division, at the Ministry of Transport, as well as Director for Strategic and Political-Military Planning at the Ministry of Defence.

    Daniel O'Connor, VP Content Strategy & New Product Development at Rapid News Group, has been working in additive manufacturing media for the TCT Group for over ten years. In his current role, he shapes manufacturing content across a host of publications in industries like additive manufacturing, pharma, med-tech, plastics, and metrology. For the best part of a decade, he worked exclusively on Rapid News Group's flagship additive manufacturing product, TCT Magazine, which was established in 1992. He was fundamental in bringing the print product into the digital 21st century.

    Dr Melissa Orme

    Melissa is a renowned pioneer, innovator, and leader in the field of Additive Manufacturing (AM), where her seminal work in additive manufacturing spans three decades and has resulted in 15 US patents and numerous peer-reviewed journal publications. Melissa has a rich and diverse professional background, having begun her career in academia where she rose to the rank of Full Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCI. There, she established globally recognized research laboratories in the field that is now termed ‘Additive Manufacturing.' She transitioned from academia to high tech startups where she served as the CTO of Morf3D, a company that is focused on producing and delivering flight qualified AM hardware. She was subsequently recruited by Boeing to lead Additive Manufacturing across all business units. In the capacity of Vice President of Additive Manufacturing at Boeing, Melissa leads a highly innovative team that drives advanced engineering solutions to complex design problems for commercial airplanes; space and launch vehicles; vertical lift programs; fighter airplanes; and autonomous vehicles. Insertions of Additive Manufacturing has proven to enhance quality and performance while simultaneously saving millions of dollars. Melissa oversees research focused on AM including the development of new processes; materials; manufacturing digital transformation; machine learning and data analytics.

    Melissa’s team won the 2023 ‘Manufacturing in 2030’ Award (from the Manufacturing Leadership Council) for their work on the digital thread in the AM value stream, and she was recently awarded the 2024 SME Eli Whitney Productivity Award for distinguished accomplishments in improving capability within the broad concept of orderly production. Additionally, Melissa was elected as a member to the National Academy of Engineering Class of 2024.

    Dr Omar Fergani

    As the Founder and CEO of 1000 Kelvin, Omar leads the company with his extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering. Holding a Ph.D. from NTNU and Georgia Tech, his research focused on residual stresses in laser powder bed fusion. Omar’s expertise led him to leadership positions at Siemens and MKS Instruments, where he spearheaded advances in additive manufacturing and digital manufacturing.

    Recognized as an industry leader, Omar has received numerous accolades, including the SME 30 Under 30 Future Leaders of Manufacturing Award and the Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineers Award. With a keen interest in harnessing artificial intelligence to tackle critical manufacturing challenges, Omar is dedicated to innovation and progress in the industry.

    As a prolific researcher and inventor, Omar boasts an impressive track record, having published over 30 journal articles and secured more than 10 patents in the realms of additive manufacturing and algorithmic development.

She has implemented sustainable remediation technologies across 19 markets, designed and implemented waste minimisation systems in manufacturing processes and led investments into the development of clean energy and energy efficiency technologies. Karina has received industry recognition awards from the US EPA, England Environment Agency and South Africa Department of Environmental Affairs for leadership in environmental advocacy. She is currently an advisor to the APEC expert panel on the ISO Circular Economy Product Circularity data sheet methodology development.

    Martin Andersson is the Chief Operating Officer at Fieldnode AS, where he also serves as the project manager for a major collaborative project involving eight global energy operators. With a robust background in digital transformation, Martin has extensive experience in supply chain management, spare parts management, after sales, traceability, data management, product lifecycle management, and digital twin technology. Before joining Fieldnode AS over two years ago, Martin held global leadership roles at a large, international company, spearheading various digital transformation initiatives. His expertise and leadership have been instrumental in driving innovation and efficiency in complex, technology-driven environments.

    Paul Guillaumot

    Paul Guillaumot is the founder and CEO of Spare Parts 3D, company specialized on on-demand production for spare parts via additive manufacturing operating in various sectors including Energy, Defense, Mining and other heavy industry sectors. Paul firmly believes that additive manufacturing, also known as 3D printing, is the leading driver of the 4th industrial revolution, enabling just-in-time, distributed and mass-customized production.

    He started his career at Oliver Wyman, as strategy consultant and left upon the opportunity to join the spin-off called Theano Advisors. During his years in consulting, he got actively involved in many projects, including major transformation of international industrial companies such as Airbus or the French national railway Company, SNCF.
    Holding a Master Degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from Arts et Métiers Paristech (France), Paul has an extensive knowledge in product development and manufacturing processes.

    YEW-SOON ONG (M’99-SM’12-F’18) received the Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence in complex design from the University of Southampton, U.K., in 2003. He is President’s Chair Professor in Computer Science at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and serves as co-Director of the Singtel-NTU Cognitive & Artificial Intelligence Joint lab. He also holds the position of Chief Artificial Intelligence Scientist of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research Singapore and is advisor of the A*STAR's Centre for Frontier AI Research. His research interest is in artificial and computational intelligence, evolutionary optimization, Bayesian optimization and statistical Machine Learning. He is founding Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks & Learning Systems, IEEE on Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Artificial Intelligence and others. He has received several IEEE outstanding paper awards and was listed as a Thomson Reuters highly cited researcher and among the World's Most Influential Scientific Minds.
