3D Printing Made Possible: Boom’s supersonic demonstrator, XB-1 will be unveiled to the World

Boom’s supersonic demonstrator, XB-1 will be unveiled to the world in October 2020 and 3D printing helped to make it possible.

Boom partnered with Stratasys and used the latter’s F900 3D Printer with the Aircraft Interiors Solution (AIS) package to create hundreds of 3D printed parts to build the world-first independently-developed supersonic aircraft. The AIS package is aimed at helping improve mechanical properties and enables repeatable development of aircraft production parts.
