Job Description

Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring equipment performance, conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring that production processes are carried out according to company standards and procedures. The Manufacturing Operator will also be expected to adhere to safety regulations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation:
    • Set up and operate machinery according to established procedures and specifications.
    • Monitor the performance of machines, ensuring they are running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Make adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain product quality.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Identify and report any defects or issues in the production process.
    • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team.
    • Ensure that machines are cleaned and maintained according to the company’s maintenance schedule.
  • Safety Compliance:
    • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, production output, and quality checks.
    • Complete required production and maintenance logs.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Suggest and implement improvements to production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
    • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new procedures and technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Technical certification or vocational training in manufacturing, machining, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience as a manufacturing operator or in a similar role is preferred.
    • Familiarity with operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery is a plus
  • Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
    • Basic math and computer skills.
    • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical Requirements:

Working Conditions:
