Based in Singapore, Safran Electronics & Defense Services Asia Pte Ltd is a joint-venture between Safran Electronics & Defense (60%) and Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC). It is the Asia-Pacific maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) center for the Safran group’s avionics and electronics equipment. In addition to repair, the company provides technical and commercial support for airline customers on behalf of safran’s OEMs in the Asia-Pacific region including China.

Safran Electronics and Defense Services Asia’s scope of business includes support to the Asia-Pacific operators on Safran Landing Systems braking, steering and monitoring systems, all Technofan equipment, Safran NSS (Network System Server) of the A380 and AGS (Analysis Ground Station). This covers avionics, electronics and electro-mechanical equipment operated on the following aircraft: Airbus A300/310, A320 family, A330/A340, A340-500/600, A380, Boeing 777, 767, 747, MD11, MD80.

As part of the SIAEC avionics repair shop merged into 2010, with Safran Electronics & Defense Services Asia Pte Ltd also provides test, repair and overhaul on many other third-party OEMs and avionics suppliers such as Airbus, Honeywell, Hamilton-Sundstrand, Thales, Rockwell-Collins, BAE Systems, etc.
Safran Electronics & Defense Services Asia Pte Ltd is certified ISO9001 and is approved on Part145 by airworthiness authorities such as CAAS, EASA, FAA, CAAC, Thailand TAA, Malaysia DCA, Vietnam CCA.
