16th ASTM AM CoE Snapshot Workshop

NAMIC and ASTM International invite industry practitioners, researchers, standards experts and technology leaders to the 16th ASTM Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) Snapshot Workshop, taking place in Singapore on 14 September 2026.

The Snapshot Workshop series provides a concise view of the latest developments in additive and digital manufacturing, with each edition focused on a specific theme. This 16th edition will explore AI-Enabled Digital Manufacturing for Agile and Resilient Supply Chains, and is held in conjunction with the ASTM F42 / ISO/TC 261 committee meetings taking place in Singapore from 14 to 18 September 2026.

Throughout the day, speakers from industry and research institutes will share practical examples of how AI-enabled technologies are being applied across design, qualification, maintenance, cybersecurity and supply-chain planning.

What to expect

  • 10 expert talks covering topics including:
    • Generative AI for design and digital part passports
    • AI-enabled qualification of marine propellers
    • Patient-specific medical supply chains
    • China’s AI-driven additive manufacturing evolution
    • Cybersecurity and data integrity
    • Part classification as a lever for reduced qualification
    • Model-based qualification of metal 3D-printed components
  • Panel 1: From Design to Certified Part: Can AI Compress the Qualification Bottleneck?
    Moderated by Prof Eujin Pei, Brunel University of London, with panellists from Mencast Marine, A*STAR IAIC and SIMTech, ABS, and Innospace.
  • Panel 2: Resilience by Distribution: Digital Inventory, MRO, and Point-of-Need Manufacturing
    Moderated by Mr Paul de Misouard, SP3D, with panellists from Factorem, Makino Asia, Pelagus and the Singapore Army.

The programme concludes with a networking cocktail reception from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, providing participants with an opportunity to connect with speakers, practitioners and fellow attendees.
