About the speaker:

One of the most promising new concrete technologies for implementing digital data and automated production is large-scale additive manufacturing with cement-based materials, also known as 3D concrete printing (3DCP). In his presentation, Viktor will explain the major drivers, challenges, and opportunities of this technology. He will focus on extrusion-based 3DCP and discuss the material requirements, the underlying physics of materials processing, and the testing methods for characterizing rheological properties. He will also provide a systematic overview of the existing solutions for integrating reinforcement in digital concrete technologies. His talk will draw on his extensive research experience at TU Dresden and in international collaborations.
