In collaboration with the Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and the Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), NAMIC co-organized a half-day workshop on Additive Manufacturing with the theme of “Unlocking Additive Manufacturing Technology for Marine & Offshore Industry Applications”. Held at the NTU Innovation Centre, the workshop had attracted 70 individuals representing the Marine & Offshore (M&O) industry.
The event started with an opening remarks made by Dr. Ho Chaw Sing, Managing Director of NAMIC. We then had distinguished speakers from NTU, A*STAR SIMTech, SUTD, 3D Metal Forge and DNV-GL to share on how Additive Manufacturing can assist the M&O industry in being more efficient, adaptable and sustainable in the long run. The event ended with a tour to Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP) and A*STAR SIMTech 3D Printing Centre.
We had received positive feedback from the event. Attendees were inspired by the latest innovations in the 3D printing industry. They also enjoyed the networking sessions.
Let‘s continue to innovate through 3D printing!
