Relativity Space acquires their first public government contract with Lockheeds, a major defense contractor. They have achieved a shorter lead time to build rockets for NASA’s Tipping Point program by using at least 1/12 the production time with 3D printing. 3D printing is well suited for this mission as it allows for a customised payload fairing and multiple modifications essential for working with the complicated cryogenic fluid management systems.
