Porsche taps on 3D printing to print Electric Vehicle (EV) parts, in efforts to lower carbon emission. Additive Manufacturing has reduced EV component weight by 10% and 3D printed lattice structure resulted in increased strength. Currently, Porsche does not have plans to mass produce cars with 3D printed parts, but they see value utilizing the technology for mass market cars in rapid development and better overall end products.
