MIT Research: RoboGrammar System Automates Robot Design and Optimises Robots for Scaling Terrains

MIT researchers develop simulation-based system RoboGrammar, where Computer-Aided Design robots are optimised to traverse different and challenging terrains, such as upwards stepped terrain. The design process is fully automated and the physical structures and controllers of the CAD robots are optimised. Potential usage of RoboGrammar include populating virtual worlds, where artists no longer have to create each robot individually with such technology.
