Will the cars of the future be 3D-printed? Local Motors aspires to make this a reality with the world’s largest commercial 3D-printer, reducing lead time by at least 5 times from product conceptualisation to end production of cars. The company has produced an autonomous 3d-printed vehicle, Olli, in which they foresee autonomous shared vehicles to play a significant role in society in the near future.
