Enterprises including GE Renewables are fusing sustainable technologies and 3D printing together to revolutionize the CleanTech and Construction industry.
GE and its partners in this endeavor; 3D construction printing company, COBOD, and building materials company, LafargeHolcim are working to 3D-print concrete bases that might run between 10 to 80 meters tall, making it possibly to be one of the largest format 3D-printed turbine base.
GE believes it can build up to a 160-meter tall, 5MW turbine that generates 33 percent more power yearly than a turbine half the size at a significant cost savings.
