SINGAPORE — NAMIC Singapore is honoured to have witnessed Singapore’s first on-site 3D concrete printing (3DCP) in action – a groundbreaking moment for our construction sector.
What makes this breakthrough significant is that Woh Hup (Private) Limited and NUS Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering has invested in a commercially available construction mobile printer, making them the first in the region to pursue 3D concrete printing technology for structural applications. Unlike gantry-based systems, this mobile solution allows concrete printing to happen directly on-site, opening up possibilities for real-world adoption.
While Woh Hup is spearheading the project, NUS provides crucial technical expertise — from materials testing to structural validation — ensuring compliance with Building and Construction Authority’s building standard. Their collaboration ensures that innovation is backed by safety, performance, and reliability. It’s not just a technological showcase – it’s a step forward in reimagining how we design and build for the future. By enabling on-site additive manufacturing, we move closer to smarter, faster, and more sustainable construction practices.
