Sylvia Heisel

Director, Fashion Futurist + Creative Technologist, HEISEL

Heisel is a design lab for 3D printing and experiential fashion led by Sylvia Heisel, a fashion designer and creative technologist working with sustainable materials, manufacturing and physical computing for fashion and wearables.

Sylvia is an expert on 3D printing, new technologies for apparel, design for smart wearables and new materials + manufacturing applications for fashion.

She has been named one of the “25 Forward Thinkers Defining the Future of Fashion”, “Top 100 Women in Wearable and Consumer Tech” and “12 Amazing People You Need To Know In New York Fashion Tech”.

A frequent speaker at fashion and technology conferences, she leads workshops in 3D Printing for Fashion and Advanced Technologies for Fashion around the world.

Previously Sylvia was the designer and CEO of her eponymous women’s evening wear brand. Influenced as much by contemporary art and design as fashion, the line was carried in America’s best independent specialty stores for over 20 years and featured in every major fashion publication of that time.

Marta Cherednik

Lead Designer, MALINKO Design

Marta is an industrial designer with seven years of transportation and product design experience. She has successfully completed a number of complex design projects at a leading international transportation company and is currently running a studio that focuses on design for 3D Printing and offers product/graphic design services – MALINKO Design.

MALINKO Design is an Australian design studio focused on developing beautiful, functional and innovative designer products for everyday use. Since inception, our studio aimed to blend conventional and innovative manufacturing techniques to create exceptional designs that bring you smile.

Their design philosophy is simple: produce unique designer products that are fun, sustainable and will help you to stand out.

Here, in the studio, they create lighting, homewares, jewelry and fashion accessories with the help of 3D printing and conventional manufacturing techniques. This combination allows us to create absolutely stunning and unique pieces that are manufactured specifically for each customer.
