GE Research and Partners Awarded $2 million Project to Develop CO2 Extracting System

R&D firm GE Research, together with UC Berkeley and the University of South Alabama, has been awarded a two-year, $2 million project through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management. As part of the ‘AIR2CO2’ research project, the partners will combine 3D printed heat exchanger technology with innovative sorbent materials to develop a system for effectively extracting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
