The Straits Times spoke to some of the 3D printing businesses in Singapore to learn about the local 3D printing landscape as well as the benefits the technology can offer – such as huge savings in cost and time for manufacturing and a growing acceptance of printed parts as final products.
One of the startups featured was Chitonous, specialising in biomaterials as an alternative to plastic, was spun-off from a NAMIC funded project.
