Pilot Project on Technology Readiness of Additive Manufacturing in Maritime and Oil & Gas Industry Sectors

Problem Statement

Many M&O industry players are very interested to take advantage of AM’s promising capabilities; however, they have also expressed lack of confidence in using AM parts in place of the final products produced by traditional subtractive machining.

Objective

This pre-qualification pilot project is focusing on AM repair applications, repairing strategies, testing protocols based on TQ (Technology Qualification) approach. It aims to guide manufacturers through the approval process to adopt of AM as qualified manufacturing procedure.
