Arvid Eirich
Director of Technology, Mobility Goes Additive (MGA)
Arvid Eirich has been with the Deutsche Bahn (DB) Group since 2013 and has designed various programs and innovation projects in the technology department. Arvid Eirich has been a member of the corporate project “3D Printing at DB” since DB took its first steps on the subject of 3D printing in 2015. In this project he helped to set up the international network “Mobility goes Additive”. In January 2017, he took over the management of finance, sales and technology in the network and is the contact person for the members on technical and economic issues relating to additive manufacturing. As an industrial engineer with a passion for digitization, Arvid Eirich is professionally and privately interested in all topics relating to the Internet of Things, Big Data and Industry 4.0. Besides his role as the Deputy Managing Director he also takes good care of all financial aspects of MGA.

Florens Lichte
Head of AM, Deutschebahn
Florens Lichte from DB had been managing the implementation of Additive Manufacturing (AM) into operations at Deutsche Bahn. Florens obtained his Master of Science in Industrial Engineering,he joined the maintenance division for railway vehicles, DB Fahrzeuginstandhaltung GmbH, in 2014. After exploring the first application fields of AM in maintenance as a production engineer, Florens had been leading the AM project team across the group for over five years. With more than six years in metal working and construction, he still has a strong affection for traditional manufacturing.

Joris Van de Sande
Head of AM, Strategic Buyer, Dutch Railways
Joris van de Sande, MA in Economics, born in 1975. After several years of working as a strategic buyer at NS (Dutch railways), Joris started to explore the opportunities of 3D printing in 2017 to solve obsolete parts. He has built a broad network around 3d printing with current rail suppliers, knowledge centres and Additive Manufacturing start-ups. He is proud of the position of NS regarding sustainability and wants to contribute to this by speeding up Additive Manufacturing in the supply chain. This year he joined the MGA Railability working group.

Bernhard Winkler
Head of AM, Knorr Bremse
Bernhard Winkler studied Industrial Engineering and holds an EMBA of TU Munich. In his current position at Knorr-Bremse, the world’s leading supplier for Systems for Railway Vehicles, he signs responsible for the introduction of Additive Manufacturing technologies as well as “Digital Manufacturing”-technologies in general.
